Deep powder in the woods, most trails skied down — hordes and hordes of people, even Spruce Lodge was packed. For a weekday skier, a nightmare. Skied the Sensation side, hoping for crowd relief, but it was constant dodge-the-human, crash-avoidance, stop & go. The best run on that was a nicely technical descent on Smugglers, but even there, human obstacles made for an anxious run (we were on our way out). Went up the gondola next and cut across on Cliff Trail — again with the people! — which opened on a nicely bumped up Lower Nosedive (and space to avoid other skiers). Then the quad. People again. Then a run off the triple. Lake & I ducked in the woods together — absolute blast. Love my boy.
