Sunny becoming cloudy, temps in the high 30s. Meant to get up there for 90 min to 2 hours and ... was more like 5.5. Oops. Just a great day. Ran into Marty in the lodge booting up, and we found his friend Sasha (an instructor) and started skiing around 10. Off Chet's, was rock hard, got a little nervous, but headed to Ptarmigan. Fire Bowl skied well a few times, an then we tried some moguls on Fire Cut. Those were soft, but kinda boring, so we headed over to 4 and then over to 8.

Lapped 8 for a bit, as Hook 'em Horns was really skiing well. Then, headed up 9 for a run down between super bowl and jelly roll - surprisingly good. Sasha headed in for lunch, and Marty and I headed back up 9 to take a run on the cat. The gate at the end of the Cat toward Golden Bear was closed, so we followed the rope line before headed skiers left on Marmot. Once we turned the corner, the snow became just sublime, and we had to do it again. Skied down to 8, then the long traverse back to 9 so we could do it again.

Clouds had really moved in, so the skiing on top wasn't quite as good, but it was still good. Hook 'em Horns/In the Mood still really good, so still worth it. Up 8, and over to 4. At the bottom of Scrub, I let them run a bit, and didn't notice I was headed for a big lip at the bottom and went down a little hard. Oops. All good though, just some minor shoulder niggles.

Wrapped up the day with a run from 4 down past 9 to Ptarmigan, a run down Fire Bowl to 6, and then from Roulette back to the lodge. Snow getting heavy, chunky, and glazed. Not quite what we were looking for.

Still, awesome day.
