Overcast with flurries, temps in the 20s. About 2.5 hours of freeski to start the day. Went from Chet's to Ptarmigan and down south chutes (a bit skied out) to 9. Then, lapped 9 for a bit, getting fresh tracks almost everywhere, and skiing pretty well, if I can say so. Took a new route through patrol bowl coming from the north side, then across the flat and down No. 4 headwall. Really deep down the headwall, probably at least knee deep, and kept it going down the hill, which was nice.

Also got a run down jelly roll/castle rock, and down the skiers left side of super bowl (i.e., as far south as was open). While getting over there, got both skis caught pretty badly on some rocks, and definitely got some damage. Will need repair :-(

Also went past the cat pickup and got a run on challenger/north star. Finished up the day with a run down Bennett's Bowl and a ripper down Deuces Wild.

Really fun morning. Bummed about the skis (should go to Denver Sports Lab on Mon or Tue), but ... it was awesome to get more powder turns.
