Sunny, temps in the mid-40s. Started with a midday GS session on twist, with rock hard snow to start and then it got softer and peelier. That said, overall, skied pretty well with good attack. Still hard to get off the ski quick enough to just roll the whole way, but overall I'm pretty happy with how that went.

After training, headed over to the Basin and met up with Marty for a couple hours of freeski. From Chet's we headed to Ptarmigan, down South Chutes, and up 9 for three laps - my first off the ridge this year! First run down Castle Rock, which was ok but scratchy. Second run down Patrol Bowl - also not as corny/soft as I would have expected - and then down #4 Headwall, which was actually pretty great. Didn't ski it as smoothly as I may have liked, but still, really fun. Last run, down over Super Bowl, which was fun.

Then, a good run down Bennett's Bowl and then a few laps down Mambo, where it really had corned up nicely.

Really fun day.
