Mount Sunapee, New Hampshire

The 5" - 6" snowfall is a miracle this season, and some people were out. Arrived late after a treacherous drive down the mountain, and by the time I was on skis, the snow had become "interesting" — cut up, irregularly bumped. It was a technical exercise to adjust to it, pleasant by the end. Few real lift lines, but the limited terrain sometimes crowded up. The Bowl was open, but not Upper Ridge. Lower Ridge is reported open, so Beck Brook must be, too. Wing Ding is open, as is Skyway (half fenced for "race training," though racers were off freeskiing), and then just Fox Run and Lower Cascade. I believe Toboggan Chute was open; Bonanza, Skyway Ledges, Upper Blastoff, Lower Blastoff, Chipmunk, and West Side were open, too. Much of South Peak is reported open (I'll find out tomorrow).
